This smile is uncosmetic due to worn teeth that are partially covered by excessive gum tissue, making the front teeth look short and square. A cosmetic crown lengthening procedure greatly improves the smile, showing less gum tissue and longer, more natural looking teeth. This denture patient has difficulty wearing a lower denture comfortably. Two implants are placed with attachments that anchor a denture. The lower denture is rigidly attached and held in place by the two implants, restoring the ability to chew food comfortably and speak confidently. A patient missing their back lower teeth has two implants placed to retain a lower removable partial denture. A cosmetic partial denture can be made eliminating the usual unsightly metal clasps that hook around the teeth. It is held in place by the implants and hidden attachments under the denture.
