Shadow/Mentoring Program

“Making a Difference”

New Jersey Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (NJSPID) and the New Jersey Dental Hygiene Association (NJDHA) have partnered together to create a new and innovative program to provide educational support and mentoring for Hygienists.

 The concept of a “Shadow Program” will allow Hygienists to observe NJSPID member Periodontists perform periodontal procedures in their offices. In addition, the Hygienists will be able to establish a mentoring relationship with the Periodontists as a source of information for questions that they might have at that time or in the future.
